What is your repair time?
At Fastec Services, LLC, we repair to the component level. We will provide an evaluation once your part is received. The evaluation will include the estimated repair cost and expected turnaround time for the item that is sent in. The customer can choose to go ahead with the repair, or have the part returned.

Do you need a RMA# to send parts in?
Please contact the office at 864-836-3600 or email info@fastecservices.com with the item to be repaired and your company details. An RMA number will be issued to you once we have the required information.

Once you have been assigned an RMA/RA number please include the RMA/RA number on the outside and inside of the box as well as a write up that includes contact information and a summary of issue(s).
What is the expected turnaround time?
Turnaround time varies on the complexity of the job. A water logged detector head will take much longer than an electronic circuit card. Estimated repair time will be quoted once evaluation is complete.
Can I send a whole machine in for repair?
Yes you can send a whole machine for repair. We evaluate and repair whole systems down to circuit cards.
If you are planning to ship a complete system, conveyor assemblies, or larger parts please make sure to coordinate with us ahead of time to can confirm packaging, freight, and receiving instructions.
Do you perform calibrations?
Yes we perform calibrations. Please contact the office with the make/model and quantity of the units that you desire to be calibrated and we will provide a formal quotation.

Do you sell new parts?
Yes, parts stock varies. Please contact the office with any direct questions, or visit our online store.
What is your warranty?
Warranty varies based on new, used, or reconditioned equipment condition. Please refer to your quotation to confirm warranty. We sell all of our reconditioned metal detector systems with a 1 year electronic parts warranty. We also provide ongoing 24/7 technical support and help with startup if necessary.
How do you set up a customer account?

Do you accept terms?
Terms are accepted with an established account and credit references. Net terms may be available for approved established accounts after credit review. Please contact info@fastecservices.com to discuss the options.
Do you accept credit cards or purchase orders?
Both credit cards and purchase orders are accepted for established customers. A hard copy or emailed copy of the the PO will be required to complete an order. For some orders a credit card processing fee may apply. Please contact info@fastecservices.com for more details.

What is in the calibration folder?
Once a calibration has been performed, you will receive a hard copy and digital copy of a calibration folder. This includes a service report with a performance evaluation including:
- A pass or fail status
- A copy of Fastec’s equipment calibration certification for the multimeters and oscilloscopes used to perform the calibration
- An insurance certificate
Do you sell testing standards?

Do you repair conveyor systems?
We repair all items attached to your metal detector system including alarms, lights, and reject mechanisms.

Do the test standards expire?
The standards do not expire, however we recommend replacing them every two years due to wear and tear.
Do the test standards need to be re-calibrated?
No, but your metal detector does. The manufacturer recommends calibrating your metal detector yearly. If your samples do not detect, it’s likely you need your metal detector calibrated.
